There's no ISA or SIPP wrapper for it in the UK at the time of writing, so every disposal, and HMRC is explicit that swapping one token for another counts as a disposal, not just cashing out to sterling, is a potential CGT event that needs tracking from day one, not reconstructed retrospectively from exchange statements that don't always survive a platform going under.
