How do I create an account?

Head to the sign up page, enter your email and a strong password, then verify the magic link we send you. The whole flow takes under a minute and works on mobile. You can also sign up using Google or Apple if you prefer single sign-on. Either way, your first community is created automatically and you land directly in the onboarding checklist.

What's included in the free trial?

The 14-day trial gives you full access to every feature — unlimited courses, communities, members, calendar, DMs, and the affiliate program. No credit card required up front. You can launch a paid community, run live events, and collect payments during the trial. Stripe processing fees still apply, but Achebe Campus does not take a platform cut on top while you are on trial. Once the trial ends, your data stays put for 30 days. Pick a plan to keep things active or download an export anytime.

Can I import existing courses?

Yes. You can import existing courses from Teachable, Thinkific, Kajabi, Podia, and Skool using our migration importer. We map modules, lessons, video links, and student progress where the source platform exposes it. For everything else, our team can run a white-glove migration on paid plans — typically completed within five business days, including a sandbox preview before going live.

Do I need technical skills?

None. Achebe Campus is designed so creators, educators, and coaches can launch without writing a single line of code. Customize colors, upload your logo, drag-and-drop lessons, and you are live. If you do have a developer on the team, our REST API and webhooks let you build automations on top — but it is fully optional.

How do I change my plan?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings → Billing and pick the plan you want. Upgrades take effect instantly with prorated billing — you only pay for the time remaining in your cycle. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle so you keep paid features until the very last day. We never charge cancellation fees.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) plus Apple Pay, Google Pay, and SEPA direct debit for European customers. For larger annual subscriptions we can also accept ACH transfers and wire payments — contact billing to arrange these.

Where do I find invoices?

Every invoice lives in Settings → Billing → Invoices. Each one downloads as a PDF that includes your business name, VAT/tax ID, and itemized line items. You can edit billing details (legal name, address, tax ID) at any time and old invoices automatically reflect the latest information when re-downloaded.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Every new subscription comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee — email billing@achebecampus.com and we will refund the most recent payment, no questions asked. For annual plans, partial refunds are issued for unused months on a pro-rated basis whenever you downgrade or cancel within the first 90 days.

How do drip lessons work?

Drip rules let you release content gradually instead of dumping everything on day one. Pick from time-based (X days after enrollment), date-based (specific calendar date), or progress-based (after the previous module is finished). Drip works at the module, lesson, and even attachment level. You can mix rules within a single course — e.g. weekly drip on the main lessons but instant access to bonus material.

Can I have quizzes and assignments?

Yes. The classroom supports multiple-choice, true/false, short answer, and file upload assignments. Quizzes can be auto-graded with passing scores, and assignments can be graded manually with rubrics and inline feedback. You can gate lesson progression on quiz completion, set retry limits, randomize question order, and pull from question banks.

How do certificates work?

Once a student finishes a course (or hits a custom completion threshold) Achebe Campus generates a personalized PDF certificate with their name, the course title, your logo, the date, and a unique verification code. You can pick from built-in templates or upload your own design. Each certificate has a public verification URL so employers can confirm authenticity.

Are there course storage limits?

Every paid plan includes generous video and file storage — see the pricing page for the current limit on each plan. Bandwidth is unmetered on every paid plan, so your students never hit a "video unavailable" wall. Videos are transcoded to multiple resolutions automatically and served from a global CDN, so a single upload streams smoothly to viewers anywhere in the world.

How do roles work?

Each community has three built-in roles: Creator (you, full ownership), Moderator (manage posts, comments, and members), and Member (post and engage). You can promote any member to a moderator with a single click. Custom roles with granular permissions (e.g. "Mentor" can pin posts but not remove members) are available on higher-tier paid plans — see the pricing page for details.

Can I have private spaces?

Absolutely. Each community can have any number of public, private, and paid spaces (think Slack channels with deeper structure). Private spaces are invite-only or auto-assigned based on a member's plan or course enrollment. Spaces have their own posts, members list, calendar, and notifications — perfect for cohort-based programs or VIP tiers.

What member moderation tools do you offer?

Moderators have a queue for reported posts and comments, can mute or remove members, lock threads, and enforce keyword filters. An audit log records every moderation action with who, what, and when. You can also require approval for new posts in specific spaces, set rate limits to slow down spam, and turn on automatic link blocking for new accounts.

How do member invites and joins work?

Communities can be open (anyone can join), application-based (members answer questions before being approved), or invite-only. Each community has a shareable join link with optional expiry and seat caps. Bulk invites by email or CSV are supported on every paid plan, and SSO with SAML or OIDC is available on higher-tier plans for organizations.

What is the commission rate?

Affiliates earn 30% recurring commission on every referred subscription for as long as that customer stays active. There is no commission cap and no expiration — recurring really means recurring. Top-performing affiliates are invited to a 40% tier with custom contracts. Reach out once you have crossed 25 paid referrals.

How long is the cookie duration?

The referral cookie lasts 60 days. If someone clicks your link today and signs up any time within that window, the conversion is attributed to you — even if they explore other tools first. We use first-party cookies plus a server-side fallback so referrals are still tracked when browsers block third-party cookies.

When are payouts sent?

Affiliate payouts run on the 1st of each month for all earnings cleared in the previous month. The minimum payout threshold is $50, and unpaid balance rolls over indefinitely until you hit it. Payments arrive via Stripe Connect, PayPal, or Wise depending on your country. You will get an email the moment a transfer is initiated.

Are self-referrals allowed?

Self-referrals are not eligible for commission. We detect them via shared email, payment, IP, and device fingerprints. Genuine customer referrals to friends and colleagues are welcome and tracked normally. Repeated self-referral attempts may result in suspension from the affiliate program. Real referrals are limitless.

What are the Stripe fees?

Standard Stripe processing fees are 2.9% + $0.30 per successful card charge in the United States. International cards add 1.5% and currency conversions add 1%. These are Stripe's fees, not ours. Achebe Campus also applies a small platform fee on transactions — see the pricing page for the current rate on each plan.

When do I get paid?

Payouts are sent directly to your bank from Stripe on a rolling daily schedule. The first payout typically clears 7–14 days after your first sale, then transfers happen daily once the rolling reserve is built. You can also switch to weekly or monthly payouts inside the Stripe dashboard if that fits your bookkeeping better.

Are international payouts supported?

Yes. Stripe Connect supports payouts to over 45 countries including the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, Brazil, India, Singapore, and most of Africa. You can sell in 135+ currencies and Stripe converts to your local one on payout. If your country is not on the supported list yet, you can use Stripe Atlas to incorporate a US LLC and start accepting payments globally — many of our creators do this.

Do you handle tax forms?

For US-based creators, Stripe issues a 1099-K every January if your earnings cross the threshold. You can collect customer tax IDs on checkout and apply VAT, GST, or sales tax automatically using Stripe Tax. For affiliates, we collect W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (international) forms before the first payout and issue the appropriate 1099-NEC at year end.

Is there a mobile app?

They support push notifications, offline video downloads, full classroom access, community feed, and DMs. The web app is fully responsive and installable as a PWA, so members on other platforms (Linux, ChromeOS, Windows tablets) get a near-native experience too.

Yes. Paid plans include a fully documented REST API covering members, courses, communities, posts, and orders. You can issue scoped API keys for each integration, and rate limits are generous — see the pricing page for the limit on each plan. We publish OpenAPI specs and have official Zapier and Make.com integrations covering 90% of common automations without writing code.

Can I use a custom domain?

Every paid plan includes a custom domain (e.g. learn.yourbrand.com). Add a CNAME record at your DNS provider, paste the domain in your community settings, and we provision an SSL certificate automatically. Higher-tier plans support full apex domains (yourbrand.com) with branded outbound emails — your members never see "achebecampus.com" anywhere unless you want them to.

What webhook events are available?

Webhooks fire on member.created, member.updated, member.deleted, course.completed, lesson.completed, order.paid, subscription.cancelled, post.created, comment.created, and 20+ more events. Each delivery is signed with HMAC SHA-256, retried with exponential backoff, and shows up in a Deliveries log so you can replay any event after fixing your endpoint.

How is data encrypted?

All traffic to and from Achebe Campus uses TLS 1.3. Data at rest is encrypted with AES-256, including database backups, file storage, and video assets on the CDN origin. Sensitive credentials are stored using Argon2id hashing. We never see or store payment card details — those go straight to Stripe.

Are you GDPR compliant?

Yes. We offer a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for any creator who needs one, support EU data residency on higher-tier plans, and run a public records-of-processing register. Members can request access, correction, or deletion of their data directly from their account settings — and you, as the creator, get tooling to fulfil any data subject access request from your dashboard.

Can I export my data?

Anytime. Trigger a full export from Settings → Data and we package members, posts, comments, courses, lessons, and orders into a single ZIP archive (CSV + JSON + media files). Most exports finish within 15 minutes. You can also use the API for selective exports or to keep a continuous backup in your own warehouse.

How does account deletion work?

Accepted Answer

You can delete your account from Settings → Account at any time. We immediately disable access, run a 30-day soft-delete grace period in case you change your mind, then permanently erase the data from primary databases and backups. Some records (invoices, audit logs) are retained for the period required by tax and finance regulations, but they no longer link to your personal identifiers.
